Sebaceous glands are a variety of tiny glands that are present just below the skin’s surface. Sebum, a naturally occurring oil produced by these glands, aids in maintaining the skin’s suppleness and smoothness. Overproduction of sebum results in an accumulation of oil in the hair follicles, which fosters the growth of the Propionibacterium acnes bacterium.

 Acne can develop on any part of the body, including the face, neck, back, chest, inner thighs buttocks and pubic area. And there are several other reasons for the acne, hormonal imbalance, stress, daily routine, food diet and the presence of blackheads, whiteheads, and other types of pimples on the skin gets infected and turn into acne.
